Paul Pogba to Work Hard for Manchester United

One of the most famous footballers of France Paul Pogba has been stamped as a problem for Manchester United according to the coach Paul Ince.

He has advised Pogba to forget about his previous team Real Madrid and focus on his current team. Paul Ince has also added that Pogba should work very hard so that he can regain his position in the first XI of the team. The transfer from the LA Liga giants Real Madrid to the English Premier League giants Manchester United, created great hype and supporters tied their hope with Paul Pogba that he will help the team to show tremendous performance in the English Premier League matches.

POGBA TO HAVE NEW ROLE AT OT

Paul Pogba will have a new role at Old Trafford from next season with the arrival of Donny van de Beek. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (OGS) has enough options in midfield now, aside reports that Thiago Alcantara might join from Bayern.

With Bruno Fernandes playing the role of attacking midfielder, the 23-year old is expected to partner him while Pogba plays deeper. Could this be similar to the 4-3-3 system Guardiola employed at Manchester City? VDB played a deeper role at Ajax where he is coming from but says he also wants to make runs in, score and create chances as well. They could be rotated as well so one player features behind the front three of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Marcus Greenwood.

SCHMEICHEL HAILS FRED AT UNITED

Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel has hailed the performances of Brazilian Fred at the club this season. The former goalkeeper says Fred is a great story to come out of Old Trafford this term and that he has been crucial in the rebirth of the club.

Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the club started well but after the manager was confirmed it seemed things would fall apart. OGS asked that the fans trust the process. Eventually the club added Bruno Fernandes and made some changes this term. They are now pushing for a Champions League spot which would make the season at the very least a decent one, considering their recent travails since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.

CARRICK NAMES PLAYERS AFTER IN HIS QUARANTINE XI

Manchester United former player turn coach Michael Carrick has named his Quarantine XI, ingeniously naming football stars based on household items around his house. With most parts of Europe on lockdown due to the Covid-19 crisis, more people are relying on social media to keep sane. Carrick challenged his social media followers to follow his trend and come up with more creative Quarantine XI based on items they can find in their household.

On his IG page, Carrick found honey and named it after Manchester united striker Anthony Martial, naming it ‘Ant Honey Martial.’ He found biscuits and named it after Barcelona defensive midfield maestro Sergio Busquets, with his version ‘Sergio Biscuits’.

GREENWOOD STRIKES TWICE AGAINST AZ

Mason Greenwood has helped Manchester United to a 4-0 win over AZ Alkmaar. The visitors were hoping to cause an upset, defeat the Red Devils at home, then top the group in the process. After a rather awful first half, Man Utd came out in the second half all blazing with intent and soon they found the back of the net on-route to a 4-0 drubbing of the visitors. Greenwood scored a brace in the process and hence became the youngest player ever to score a brace for Manchester United in any major European league tournament.


United toped Group L as a result and at least that may land them a favorable draw in the knockout stages. Ashley Young also scored on the night but it was Greenwood’s performance that got everyone talking. The young lad made Old Trafford remember the signature finishes of Robin Van Persie as they hope to get a new younger and even better version in terms of him.

Preparations are being taken by Manchester United to meet with the demands that have been made by Borussia Dortmund as they are attempting on signing Jadon Sancho. It has been reported that the international player of England will have a price tag of a minimum of 100 million pounds that has been hit on him by Dortmund, but United will definitely not push them back because of the fee. In the year 2017, the winger moved to the giants of Bundesliga after his opportunities of getting his name attached to Manchester City seemed to be non-existing. He has been a part of the Watford Academy much earlier than the usual time.

Sancho has been able to 18 times during his time at Borussia Dortmund. He has also assisted to 30 goals out of the 68 appearances which he made for the team. With all the games he has played for the club, he has earned his place on many of the wish lists for transfer made by some giants of the European League. Links have also been made between Sancho and Real Madrid, but they are till now in search of a player in replace of Cristiano Ronaldo.

UNITED LOSS TO WOLVES TO PROMPT CHANGES

Manchester United fans were heartbroken to lose to Wolverhampton wanderers on Tuesday April 2, 2019. The way they lost and what was at stake worsened the pains. The Red Devils started the game well, scoring early in the first half courtesy of Scott McTominay but they gave up the lead and lost, finishing with ten men.

Had the game finished the way they wanted, they would have risen to third place on the EPL log, and primed for the much wanted Top Four finish. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s confirmation as substantive manager was widely expected to send a wave that would push the team to a string of victories until the end of the season, like when he joined.The team started well against Watford at home but the disappointing result against Wolves would leave the team, management and fans sore. Especially when there are tricky games lined up.
