ETH STARTS UNITED CAREER AT HOME

\New Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag (ETH) will start his managerial career at home in the Premier League after the fixtures for the new season were released on Thursday.


Manchester United have turned to Dutchman Ten Hag in their quest to get back to the top of English football and European football as well. Ten Hag left Dutch champions Ajax Amsterdam to take up the managerial job at Manchester United ahead of the new season. Continue reading

EVERTON IN STALEMATE WITH WATFORD

Merseyside outfit Everton have moved two points clear of the relegation zone after they were forced to a goalless draw by hosts Watford who have already been relegated from the Premier League. Everton dominated proceedings in terms of possession, but they could not turn it into a win in their battle to avoid the drop this season.


Everton were massive favourites to take the three points on offer ahead of their rescheduled league game with the Hornets at Vicarage Road on Wednesday night having won their last two games in the Premier League.                             WEST HAM EYEING SURPRISE MAN UTD RAID FOR STAR

West Ham are reportedly plotting a move for Manchester United youngster Di’Shon Bernard, who is currently on loan at Hull City. The Hammers have been linked with a number of defenders of late. Indeed, their need for more depth in the area has been apparent this season. Injuries to Angelo Ogbonna and Kurt Zouma have placed added responsibility on the shoulders of Craig Dawson and Issa Diop.


While West Ham have continued to perform, having more options could not have hurt. Indeed, Dawson and Diop are the only senior centre-backs to have been available for a good portion of the season. The Hammers have both established themselves as top-four contenders and gone on a long European run. SPURS AHEAD OF UNITED WITH WIN

North London side Tottenham Hotspur have moved ahead of Manchester United on the league table after their London Derby victory over West Ham United on Sunday evening. Spurs knew before the game that they had the chance to make a significant push towards fourth spot by beating fellow London team West Ham United at home to secure fifth spot and they did just that.

Tottenham Hotspur established a 2-1 lead at the half-time break after Algerian star Said Benrahma halved the two-goal deficit given to the home team by Kurt Zouma(own goal) and Son Heung-Min off the assists from star striker Harry Kane. South Korean international Son then completed his brace in the second half to seal the result for his team. Continue reading

UNITED TARGET SECOND SUCCESSIVE LEAGUE WIN

Manchester United can make it two wins in a row on the Premier League stage if they beat fellow top-four chasers West Ham United at home this weekend. West Ham United and Manchester United are two of several teams fighting for a Champions League spot ahead of the next season. Only a place in the top-four will guarantee Champions League football next season apart from winning the Europa League and the Champions League. The London trio of Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are also in the fight for a top-four spot.

Manchester United have recovered well from the disappointment of losing their first game of this year at the hands of Wolves in the league. The Red Devils were beaten 1-0 at home by Wolves with veteran Portugal international Joao Moutinho getting the winner eight minutes from time. The home loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers was followed by the 1-0 home victory over Aston Villa in the FA Cup third round thanks to the first half goal from Scott McTominay.

SHAW MISSES OUT ON ENGLAND GAMES

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw was unable to feature for England in their final two Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers as they were able to book a place at the tournament as reward for winning Group I.

Shaw was one of two left-backs invited to the latest England squad ahead of the final two qualifiers against Albania and San Marino alongside Chelsea player Ben Chilwell. However, the Manchester United star could not play a single minute for England as a result of the concussion suffered towards the end of the Manchester Derby clash with Manchester City in the Premier League just before the current international break. Shaw could not save Manchester United from a 2-0 defeat at home to their city rivals.

CAN RONALDO MAINTAIN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE RECORD?

Cristiano Ronaldo has been amongst the goals in the UEFA Champions League since he returned to Manchester United for his second spell this summer. The Red Devils secured a move back to the club for him from Italian giants Juventus in August and he has scored five goals in seven games in all competitions since then including two goals in two Champions League games.

Ronaldo made his second Champions League debut for Manchester United in the away game with Swiss champions Young Boys last month and he was the recipient of the first goal of the game. The ecstatic feeling that Manchester United fans have been enjoying has continued to overwhelm them after the club decided to pull off one of the biggest transfers on the history of football by bringing back their legend Cristiano Ronaldo to Old Trafford. The Ronaldo to United transfer is one of the biggest in football history for a couple of reasons and one of the major of them all is that the player has finally returned to the club where he became a real man and a superstar as well. He won his very first UEFA Champions League title and his maiden FIFA Ballon d’Or award as well. And now, according to his teammate at international level, Bruno Fernandes, the fans are not the only ones who are excited.

Fernandes has revealed that even the players and all the staff members that work at the club are all excited about the return of Ronaldo because he is a player that has such a big reputation and an elite winning mentality. According to Fernandes, Ronaldo has brought some more confidence with him to Old Trafford and the rest of the players are buzzing that he has returned and that they ll are also looking forward to playing with him on the pitch. GORETZKA: REAL MADRID INTEREST REVEALED

Real Madrid have an interest in Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka who’s also a target for Premier League giants Manchester United. Madrid’s interest in Goretzka was confirmed by Spanish newspaper AS. It was disclosed that Real Madrid arethe latest club to show an interest in German national team player Goretzka. Real Madrid have joined Manchester United in the race to sign the former Schalke 04 player.

The Red Devils want to sign Goretzkaon a free transfer next summer when his Bayern Munich contract expires. The German champions want to commit him to anew deal but talks over the contract renewal have stalled.

SAHA: VARANE WILL BE A PERFECT SIGNING FOR UNITED

Manchester United may still be uncertain about the defender they want to sign this summer, but their former player, Louis Saha has given them a hint on who they should be chasing after. United manager Olé Gunnar Solksjær has made it clear that he wants to sign new players in both the attacking and defensive department this summer and the club have been working behind the scenes to make sure that they grant the Norwegian manager his wish.

While it is no longer news that the Red Devils have locked their focus on Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho as their main attacking target this summer, they remain unsure which defensive addition they want to make. There have been several names mentioned in the media regarding the possible players that the club will be signing this summer and while there have been up to four central defenders mentioned as possible targets, there is still no conclusion yet.
