Cristiano Ronaldo has been amongst the goals in the UEFA Champions League since he returned to Manchester United for his second spell this summer. The Red Devils secured a move back to the club for him from Italian giants Juventus in August and he has scored five goals in seven games in all competitions since then including two goals in two Champions League games.

Ronaldo made his second Champions League debut for Manchester United in the away game with Swiss champions Young Boys last month and he was the recipient of the first goal of the game. The ecstatic feeling that Manchester United fans have been enjoying has continued to overwhelm them after the club decided to pull off one of the biggest transfers on the history of football by bringing back their legend Cristiano Ronaldo to Old Trafford. The Ronaldo to United transfer is one of the biggest in football history for a couple of reasons and one of the major of them all is that the player has finally returned to the club where he became a real man and a superstar as well. Fernandes has revealed that even the players and all the staff members that work at the club are all excited about the return of Ronaldo because he is a player that has such a big reputation and an elite winning mentality. GORETZKA: REAL MADRID INTEREST REVEALED

Real Madrid have an interest in Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka who’s also a target for Premier League giants Manchester United. Madrid’s interest in Goretzka was confirmed by Spanish newspaper AS. It was disclosed that Real Madrid arethe latest club to show an interest in German national team player Goretzka. Real Madrid have joined Manchester United in the race to sign the former Schalke 04 player.

Manchester United are one of the form teams in English football at the moment after netting eleven goals in their last three games in all competitions including the Everton game in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night. The Red Devils took their winning run to three games in all competitions with the 2-0 away victory over Everton in one of the four quarterfinal ties in the Carabao Cup this season. Manchester United dominated proceedings and they were rewarded with two late goals thereby booking their place in the next round.


Manchester United defeated Everton 3-1 away from home in their first meeting of the season in the Premier League and they repeated the outcome in the latest meeting. Manchester United and especially striker Edinson Cavanimissed some good chances in the first half as both teams went into thehalf-time interval with a goalless scoreline.Cavani made up for the missed opportunities from the first half by giving Manchester United the lead on 88 minutes. French international Anthony Martial added a second goal for the Red Devils six minutes into added time to wrap up the result for his team.

CAVANI DOUBTFUL FOR SHEFFIELD CLASH

Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani is a big doubt for the Red Devils ahead of their league meeting with bottom club Sheffield United in the Premier League. Summer signing Cavani has missed the last two games with an injury and he’s unlikely to make it in time for the Premier League trip to the East Midlands to take on Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Thursday night.


EdinsonCavani missed out on the final Champions League game of the season for Manchester United who crashed out of the competition after they were beaten by RB Leipzig in Germany. Manchester United needed a point to qualify for the round of 16 ahead of the RB Leipzig game but failed to achieve their target as they were beaten 3-2 by the German Bundesliga club who moved to the next stage at the expense of Manchester United. RB Leipzig will now face Liverpool in the Champions League round of 16 after they qualified from Group H ahead of the Red Devils.
