United Asked To Sign Haaland Over Sancho In The Summer

Even though the summer transfer window is still some months away from us, teams are already preparing themselves for the twists and turns that will come with it once it finally arrives. Top clubs across Europe and far beyond are already making plans and preparing lists of players they would love to sign, as well as the ones they will like to chalk off their wage bill.

One of the said clubs that will reportedly be busy in the summer is Manchester United. The Red Devils have fallen short of points in the title race against bitter rivals Manchester City and will reportedly go into the summer transfer window with the simple agenda of signing players that can help them compete for the title next season.

After coming close and failing to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho last summer, it is believed by many that they will make yet another attempt to sign the English forward when the window opens. Sancho is reportedly willing to join United but was not able to do so because his current club took a stance against letting him leave last summer for anything less than the £120 million valuation of their prized asset.

After starting the season on a slow note, Sancho has rediscovered his brutal form this season and has already recorded double figures in goals + assists this season. His fine form has resurrected talks about his proposed move to Old Trafford in the summer but despite that, Manchester United have been urged to overlook him and sign his teammate and attack partner Erling Haaland instead.

Haaland was under United’s radar before he moved to Dortmund from Salzburg last season and has been on fire since then. His fine form also saw him score a Brace against Bayern Munich in their 4-2 defeat at the hands of the Bavarians and Rio Ferdinand says his former club should do everything they can to snap up the Norwegian in the summer.
